Bleach, Beach & Boo-Boo's

Laundry day.  Normally we have help in this department, but today, I decided to venture on my own.  How hard can it be? Who needs Whirlpool and Gain? I have 2 hands, 1 bar of soap and no clean underwear.  Let's do this!

Start with some hot water
Soak the clothes

Suds them up and beat them senseless
Drying on the rooftop

After that was done, we had a surprise waiting for us!  BEACH DAY!  We packed up a pic-nic of egg salad sandwiches, chips and  plenty of H2O and headed out.  We drove an hour on a bumpy, dusty road but our final destination made it all worth it!  Our own secluded beach front!  Clean water - just the right temperature. Beautiful sands scattered with wild flowers and native crabs (they were wearing turbans)

We had the best time cooling off and relaxing after our week of long, but fulfilling days.

Here we go!

Beautiful secluded beach
Whitest person in all of India

God is so creative!

Yesterday, we spent half the day at the hospital after recognizing that a little girl felt really warm and very lethargic.  We drove her to the children's hospital asap.  The waiting room is FULL of mother's with their children, but of course, we have the power of white on our side and get seen right away.  Turns out she had a severe bladder infection along with a fever of 103.2.   Thankfully we were there to pray for her and get her some medical attention.  It was rough on her, poor girl.  They had to draw blood from her skinny little leg and she didn't like that.  Chris was there helping me calm her down and reassuring that everything was going to be okay.  I don't have children of my own, but I can imagine how stressful it is to go through something like that knowing it's for their good, although painful at the time.  The girls waited patiently in the van until we were finished.  It was a great feeling to be able to help this little princess.  We love her so much!!!!

wearing my glasses cheered her up!
