We had a wonderful day visiting an orchid farm with an amazing restaurant right in the middle! You can sit in the midst of a leafy jungle and enjoy a Thai food buffett complete with fried bananas, amazing coffee and of course, a spicy, inventive, authentic variety of Thai fare.
The colors, aromas and sites were so intoxicating to take in. I felt like I was in another world and I wanted to give you a peek. Photography only says so much, probably about a 1,000 words, but during my travels I often regret the inability to capture the scents, sounds and serenity of the views I see. Maybe I should invent something. Or maybe ya'll should just come with me sometime.
The only thing that would have made it better would have been if my mother could have accompanied us. She loves flowers and vegetable tempura and she loves spending time with her girls.
It's funny, no matter how incredible your surroundings are - wherever that may be - there's something about having the people you love to share it. Of course I have my lovely sister, always thankful for her company, but I couldn't help consider just how much mom would have LOVED this place! Miss you mom.
